๐Ÿ“ฃWe're hiring an Instructional Designer ๐Ÿ“ฃ๐ŸŽฏ๐Œ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง :The Instructional Designer plays a central role in shaping HISโ€™s academic identity by designing and harmonizing curricula and modules across bachelorโ€™s and masterโ€™s programs. The role ensures that all courses respect Algerian Ministry of Higher Education regulations, while also meeting international standards of instructional design. The position is instrumental in the institutionโ€™s transition to authentic HIS-owned curricula and the adoption of flipped learning and other innovative pedagogical models. ๐Ÿ’ก๐Š๐ž๐ฒ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ: ๐‚๐ฎ๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฆ & ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ :-Translate competency frameworks into coherent curricula for bachelorโ€™s and masterโ€™s programs across all departments (e.g., Computer Science, Electronics, Economics, Management, Law, Educational Sciences). -Ensure curricula comply with national regulations and directives from the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education. -Develop HIS-owned course and module templates that gradually replace professor-dependent lesson plans. -Coordinate with department heads to align curricula with disciplinary and labor market expectations. ๐ˆ๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐‚๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ :-Design course structures, syllabi, assessment strategies, and learning activities that are competency-based and student-centered. -Guide faculty in redesigning existing courses into flipped learning formats (moving lectures online, maximizing classroom time for active learning). -Ensure that all courses integrate inclusivity and accessibility principles (Universal Design for Learning). -Support the creation of interdisciplinary modules and capstone projects. ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐ญ & ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐œ๐ž ๐ƒ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ :-Assist faculty in developing authentic teaching materials, case studies, and local examples to enrich HIS-owned curricula. -Curate national and international Open Educational Resources (OERs) for integration into course designs. -Collaborate with the Digital Education & Analytics Coordinator to adapt course designs for digital platforms without duplicating implementation tasks. ๐๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ & ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž :-Benchmark curricula and courses against international best practices in higher education while ensuring compliance with Algerian regulatory frameworks. -Maintain comprehensive documentation of curricula for accreditation and Ministry reporting purposes. -Monitor and update course design practices to remain aligned with both HISโ€™s vision and external requirements and accreditations. ๐‚๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐›๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง & ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ :-With Faculty Development & Teaching Innovation Officer: -Share instructional design needs for faculty training, but do not deliver training. -With Digital Education & Analytics Coordinator: Align course designs to blended/flipped learning platforms, but do not manage or operate technology tools. -With Quality Assurance & Accreditation Officer: Provide curricula and course documentation, but do not lead audits or prepare accreditation reports. ๐ŸŽ“๐๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐Ÿ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ :-Masterโ€™s degree (or higher) in Education, Curriculum Design, Instructional Technology, or related fields. -Minimum 5 years of experience in curriculum or instructional design in higher education. -Demonstrated knowledge of Algerian higher education regulations and program structuring. -Experience with flipped learning, blended learning, or active learning methodologies. -Strong background in competency-based curriculum development across disciplines. -Excellent collaboration skills with faculty and academic leaders from diverse fields. ๐Š๐ž๐ฒ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ž๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ :-Strong curriculum mapping and instructional design expertise. -Ability to balance compliance with innovation. -Skilled in flipped classrooms and student-centered approaches. -Strong documentation and reporting skills for regulatory alignment. -Commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and continuous improvement. ๐ŸŒธGood luck for everyone!๐ŸŒธ
