Headquartered in Tacoma, WA, with a nationwide workforce of training professionals and subject matter experts, Chi-Chack is also a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB).Position SummaryThe Site Lead/Instructor oversees the management of a team of instructors and instructional systems designers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality training programs and curriculum development. Serving as the primary point of contact with DINFOS, the Site Lead also provides direct course instruction for select courses while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and standards.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesManage the cadre of instructors and instructional systems designers. Serve as the liaison between the Government client and Chi-Chack’s Program Management Office. Assist team leads with ensuring the class Training Day begins and ends on time. Ensure class attendance is taken at beginning of class and instructors report unexcused absences to the Team Lead and Academic Directors immediately. Adhere to all classroom instruction methods in accordance with course Training Programs of Instruction (TPI). Manage student records, student counseling and additional training, student probation and action packages, absences, and any supporting documents within the DINFOS Management System (DMS), or any system the Government sees fit to implement in the management of student records. Guidance and direction for these administrative actions will be approved via a Team Lead and the Academic Director for the course assigned. Adhere to the provisions of DINFOS policies regarding Instructor certification and qualification programs in order to become fully integrated into the training cadre. Instructors are required to understand and adhere to mentoring standards, through their assigned mentors, to assist and coach instructors on supplementary training actions to include coaching, grading, and providing mentoring and feedback to students. Understand and perform on a variety of eLearning platforms to support online and resident instruction. Adhere to all DINFOS policy and procedures for DINFOS operations. Provide Subject Matter Expertise to the curriculum development process on a variety of courses offered by DINFOS, to include the redesign, review, or implementation of a new course curriculum. Qualifications, Knowledge And Skill RequiredExperience managing a team of instructors. Be a graduate of DINFOS Instructor Training Course (ITC). Bachelor’s degree in a communication related field. At least 5 years of industry experience. Possess a working knowledge of all aspects of public affairs and visual information including but not limited to: all areas of communication strategy, visual information, journalism, broadcast news, multimedia production and operation of related computer hardware/software equipment related to job field and industry practices. Understand communication in a steady-state and an event-driven scenario based training environment, and knowledge of aligning communication tactics with a commander’s desired state and higher-level guidance. Expertise in solving communication problems through research and analysis; synchronize with other information- related capabilities; and create and evaluate communication designed to support tactical and operational plans. Capable of deriving insights from analytics to develop digital engagement strategies and content planning, creation, and engagement. Qualifications, Knowledge And Skill PreferredMaster’s degree in communication or communication related field and have extensive experience operating with Joint Staffs, international organizations or other government agencies. Expertise in advising senior military leadership or industry executive-level personnel on communication strategy, public sentiment, information release, issues management and crisis communication in complex information environments, knowledge in leveraging relationships within military commands or industry organizations, the community, the media, and stakeholders (influencers) to accomplish a mission, knowledge on how to employ a communication team in accordance with DoD and service policies and tactics, techniques, and procedures to achieve a commander’s desired state. Instruction in a military formal school or relative higher education facility with experience in different instructional teaching methodologies and teaching strategies to adult learners. Experience teaching courses online. Physical And Environmental RequirementsMay be required to use computer screen for extensive periods of time. Extended working hours and travel may be necessary.
