As an Instrumentation and Controls Technician (I&C) Water/Wastewater, you will play an important part of our electrical and process engineering team as you complete a variety of technical tasks in the troubleshooting and operation of SCADA and Automation systems for water/wastewater facilities, supporting our clients in both our local offices and client sites.Typical duties will includeAssist I&C engineers in evaluating and developing alternative control system solutions that meet client requirementsDevelop commissioning reports, plans, and associated client deliverables for the I&C, telemetry, and SCADA systemsTroubleshoot instruments, controllers, computers, servers, ancillary equipment and components, and application softwareAssist in defining interface requirements for process valves, adjustable frequency drives, and packaged systemsDevelop new and modify existing application programming in PLCs (programmable logic controllers), HMIs (human machine interfaces), and associated componentsParticipate in consulting, design, construction, planning, commissioning/start-up, training, and close-out phase activitiesCreate documentation for application softwareInteract with clients to gain an understanding of their systemsWork with contractors and sub-contractors to resolve issues during construction and commissioning/start-upCollaborate and develop solutions with multi-disciplinary senior-level leadersAttend meetings (on-site/off-site or video conferencing) and provide official project status reports per the frequency required (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, etc.)Provide technical support in any form, demonstrating compliance with all directives and other applicable standards to include records managementAssist Post-construction team during startup and commissioning activitiesIf you are up to the challenge, we’ve been looking for someone just like you to join our team to help us transform tomorrow.Here's what you'll needAssociate degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering Technology or bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from an accredited college/university.Demonstrated professional experience in the Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) field.Field experiences inspecting newly installed control systems for conformity with contract documents.Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
