We’re looking for an Intake & Assessment Officer who can offer a calm, steady presence for people taking those first steps. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients and referrers, helping to ensure that everyone receives timely, appropriate support.You’ll work closely with our clinical teams, triaging referrals, conducting phone assessments and coordinating client care. Your empathy and ability to listen will make a real difference to people’s lives.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and triage referrals for the our Strong Minds programConduct phone assessments to understand clients needs and suitability for the programWork closely with clinical leads to prioritise and coordinate care and arrange appropriate servicesRespond promptly to clients in crisis, ensuring relevant policies and procedures are strictly followedMaintain accurate, confidential client records and contribute to reporting requirementsCommunicate with GPs, service providers and other stakeholders in a timely and professional mannerSupport continuous improvement by participating in team meetings and quality activitiesWhat You’ll Bring To The RoleExperience or ability to assess people with mental health difficulties (Qualifications in Community Services, Mental Health, or similar are highly desirable)Experience in mental health triage or intakeA high level of integrity and ability to ensure confidentiality at all timesAn empathetic, non-judgemental approach to supporting othersStrong organisational and time management skillsClear, professional communication skills (verbal and written) including writing details case notesAbility to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamExperience using clinical software and working with electronic recordsWhy Join Us?Salary packaging options to increase your take-home payFive weeks annual leave, plus a Christmas/New Year shutdownProfessional development allowance and wellbeing supportAccess to employee rewards and discountsCommitment to cultural safety and inclusive practiceApply Now Position Description
