Medical Records Technicians/Administrative Assistants support the Pennsylvania Army National Guard (PAARNG) non-clinical nurse case management contract from Fort Indiantown Gap located in Annville, PA, by updating medical and dental records, both paper and digital medical systems. Works in direct support of an assigned Registered Nurse Case Manager and assist other team members when workloads fluctuate. You'll be the linchpin of our medical records management system, handling everything from initial intake to final processing with precision and confidentiality. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the support of our service members. Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and maintain Soldier medical/dental records (paper and medical systems). Support medical readiness events (potential weekends, but rare). Coordinate with Soldiers, medical facilities, and providers. Prepare documentation for medical review boards. Ensure record quality and compliance. Maintain strict data security. Manage electronic records and systems. Provide general administrative support.
Proficient and professional in written and verbal communications Strong knowledge of personal computers, scanning documents, and filing of digital records Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Capable of obtaining a favorable national background check Experience in administrative support, preferably within a medical or military environment. Understanding of medical records management and confidentiality practices (HIPAA) Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Salary: $24. 03 per hour ($49,982 annually)Health & Welfare (benefit offset) $4. 93 per hour.
