Interim Financial Controller

Whether leading a team or acting as a senior individual contributor, you’ll be responsible for setting high standards, driving operational excellence, and influencing the growth and direction of your area.Principal Accountabilities: -Day to day responsibility for the management of the finance function in the Netherlands, with specific responsibilities across the following three areas.Management Information (MI)Aid in budget and prepare forecasting information for submission to the Head of FinanceDetailed management of the cashflows including modelling and reportingPreparation of monthly MI packs for all Netherlands entities ensuring that financial information is clear, accurate and meaningful for senior managementPresentation in both written and verbal form to group management and investors as required: accuracy and fluency of English criticalOversee and develop systems and procedures to ensure that efficient and effective management of financesFinancial control functionManagement of any team members, including workload and performance & development as well as oversight of work performed by group shared service timeWork with department heads / senior management, primarily within the Netherlands, in order to understand business activated and budget pressuresManage adherence to approved budgetsRecommend changes that will improve financial performance and the financial control environmentOversight of local bolt on acquisitions from a financial perspective, contributing to the review of financial performance as required, preparing for and managing integration activities including data transfer and budgetary reviewsAccounting, Audit and TaxPrepare statutory (IFRS & Local GAAP as required) financial statements or all Netherlands entitiesAct as the main point of contact for external auditors, providing them with all required informationEnsure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards and that relevant group and local policies are followedEnsure that all information necessary for the tax returns is maintained, that fillings are made in line with jurisdictional requirements and that tax payments are made in punctual mannerRequired Qualifications & ExperienceExpertise with general ledger accounting systems, as well as core MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint & Word) (critical)Fluent written and verbal English (critical)Accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ICAS) (critical)Previous experience in a Financial controller/Finance Manger role (critical)Please note that the role Interim Financial Controller is for a period of 6 to 12 months.To find out more, please email recruitmentnetherlands@hawksford.com
