IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITYInterim Vice President of Operations Reports To: Chief Executive OfficerDuration: 3 – 4 monthsLocation: Etobicoke, CanadaOur client, a CPG manufacturing company, is in urgent need of an Interim VP of Operations to provide leadership and operational oversight to two separate facilities until a permanent hire is made. Accountabilities will include manufacturing, procurement, logistics, health and safety and all other operations and supply chain functions. A people-focused and inspirational leader with a strong production background will be essential to stabilizing the business during this time of change. Recommendations to improve the business will also be welcome! The ideal candidate will be willing to “walk the floor” every day and travel between the two sites. Key Accountabilities:Provide leadership to team of six direct reports between two facilities in Vaughan and Mississauga.Direct manufacturing activities to maintain consistent delivery results in a multi-plant operation.Oversee the procurement of materials and components, the planning/scheduling of production and delivery of finished goods to ensure objectives.Coach and mentor the operations team to become a more efficient producer, encourage continuous improvement and serve as a business partner across the organization.Works collaboratively with finance, sales, and marketing on all aspects of sourcing and procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory management.Conduct basic assessment of manufacturing operations, policies and MRP systems and recommend improvements to be implemented.Drive operational efficiency, by reduction of waste, improve people competence, and working with continuous improvement mindset.Monitor compliance to Health and Safety procedures and takes appropriate action to deal with non-conformances.Manage inventory of materials and finished goods to ensure highest possible service levels with controlled operating costs and delivery performance. Oversee and optimize supply chain processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.Maintain quality control measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality products or services.Competencies and Requirements: 7+ years of executive-level operations leadership experience within a food manufacturing setting.In-depth knowledge of operational best practices, process optimization, and supply chain management.Excels at collaborating across multiple departments, thinking creatively, and enjoys both strategic planning, and hands-on execution.Experience working with MRP systems is an asset.Working experience with GFSI/HACCP.Multi-plant experience preferred.Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, manage multiple projects, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.Excellent leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; Influential and inspirational leader.General knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations.PLEASE SEND YOUR CV (AS A WORD DOC) TO: Interim.Applications@LHHknightsbridge.com (Subject: Job Title)LHH Knightsbridge Interim Management is a service to help our clients address a wide range of scenarios including leadership support due to sudden departures, driving key change initiatives or leading transformation projects.
