Interior Designer (Kitchen & Dressing)

The Interior Designer specializing in Kitchens and Wardrobes is responsible for the design, planning, and execution of bespoke kitchen and dressing room projects for clients. The role requires a strong focus on achieving maximum functionality, aesthetic appeal, and efficient space utilization, ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project budgets. ResponsibilitiesDesign and Planning:Client Needs Analysis: Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their lifestyle, storage requirements, budget constraints, and aesthetic preferences for both the kitchen and wardrobe areas.Site Survey and Measurement: Visit project sites to take precise measurements and document existing conditions (electrical points, plumbing, windows, etc.).Conceptual Design Development: Develop detailed floor plans and 3D renderings of proposed designs, focusing on traffic flow, the Kitchen Work Triangle, and optimal storage solutions for wardrobes.Material and Specification Selection: Select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, colors, hardware, storage accessories, appliances, and lighting fixtures, providing samples to the client.Technical Drafting: Prepare comprehensive Technical Drawings and fabrication details (cut lists, assembly instructions) that include precise dimensions and specifications for installation.Compliance: Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety standards, and requirements for ventilation and lighting.. Project Management and Coordination:Quotation Preparation (BOQ): Calculate accurate estimated costs and prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ).Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with contractors, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure the design is executed accurately and to high-quality standards.Timeline Management: Monitor project milestones to ensure timely delivery and completion within scheduled deadlines.Revisions and Feedback: Address client feedback and modifications with flexibility, making necessary revisions to the design documents.QualificationsRequirements and QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, .Experience: Proven professional experience (3 years) as an Interior Designer, ideally specializing in custom-designed Kitchens and Wardrobes/Closets.Technical Skills:Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software, such as: AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Revit, and specialized kitchen design software (if applicable).Strong ability to read and modify technical and architectural drawings.Deep understanding of Kitchen functionality (appliance systems, plumbing, ventilation requirements).Comprehensive knowledge of various wardrobe storage systems (shelving, drawers, baskets, lighting solutions).Personal Skills:High creativity and design sense with the ability to stay current with modern trends.Excellent communication and presentation skills for client interaction and idea explanation.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and specifications.Proven ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects concurrently.
