GEDON Executive is seeking an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a prominent Tier 2 Building Contractor based in Dublin, Ireland. This is a superb opportunity for a professional with a strong track record of commercial management on diverse projects, particularly within the Residential, Healthcare, and Education sectors.Due to the immediate start required, significant experience working in the Irish construction market is essential for this role.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Management: Manage all financial aspects for assigned project packages, including cost reporting, forecasting, and preparing detailed Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).Contract Administration: Administer subcontracts and assist the Senior QS in managing the main contract (RIAI or GCCC), ensuring strict adherence to contractual requirements.Procurement: Lead the procurement process for subcontractor packages, including preparing tender documentation, conducting thorough tender analysis, and negotiating contract terms.Valuations & Payments: Prepare and submit accurate monthly valuations/applications for payment and manage the entire payment cycle for subcontractors and suppliers.Change Control: Accurately measure, value, and negotiate variations and change orders, ensuring all commercial entitlement is secured swiftly.Risk Mitigation: Actively assist in identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks across the project.What You'll BringProven Experience: Demonstrable experience as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor (typically 3-5 years) within a Main Contractor environment.Irish Market Expertise: Crucially, must have significant and recent experience working on projects and contracts within the Republic of Ireland.Sector Exposure: Direct experience managing commercial aspects of Residential, Healthcare, and/or Education new build or large-scale refurbishment projects.Contractual Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of standard contracts used in the Irish market (RIAI and/or GCCC).Commercial Acumen: Strong analytical, negotiation, and numerical skills with a focus on meticulous cost control.Qualifications: A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.What Our Client OffersA competitive salary of up to €55,000, commensurate with your experience.The chance to work on a secure and diverse pipeline of socially critical building projects in Dublin.A key role within an established Tier 2 contractor with clear opportunities for career progression to a Senior QS level.An immediate start for the right candidate with local market knowledge.The GEDON AdvantageGEDON Executive is a global search firm specialising in the preconstruction & project controls sector, with a strong network of leading contractors in Dublin.
