They have a seat at the design table, working alongside our other disciplines to solve some of the hardest and most technical challenges in the industry. They embrace the opportunity to create meaningful solutions from smart buildings to lighting safety, power system design, to telecommunications and security, while continually working at the forefront of sustainable solutions.We’re seeking an energetic Electrical Engineering Professional to join our multi-disciplinary team in the Vancouver studio, working on a variety of mixed-use living, healthcare, institutional and commercial building designs.How you'll make a difference:Work collaboratively alongside electrical engineers and technologists in designing lighting, power, security, fire alarm, communications and data communications systems for various types of buildings. Collaborate side-by-side with in-house architects, interior designers, structural and mechanical engineers to create integrated and highly sustainable design solutions for a wide variety of building typesPrepare reports, design specifications, and contract documents for electrical systemsActive involvement in BIM/Revit model development, respond to design activity schedules and milestones and resource personnel to accomplish these tasksProvide Contract Administration support for electrical engineering projectsEnsure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained by working with integrated team membersReference CEC, BCBC, municipal bylaws, and energy standards in the service of solving design problems in a way that is compliantBe involved in all phases of projects, from concept design, construction to completionAttend construction meetings with contractors and owners (may or may not be responsible for chairing meetings)Contribute to DIALOG's collaborative learning culture by sharing knowledge, learning together, and mentoring and developing junior team membersWho you are:University Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology is required, registered P.Eng is desiredBIM expertise and proficiency in using Revit software are prerequisites for this position. Combined 6-12 years of experience in mixed-use living, healthcare, institutional and commercial consultingExperience in AEC or Consulting Engineering, drafting and design work power system design, fire alarm system and life safety, lighting, lighting, and lighting control systemsKnowledgeable in CEC, BCBC, municipal bylaws, and applicable CSA/ULC/TIA standards, as well as energy codes such as NECB or Step CodeStrong understanding and experience with schematic design, design development, detailed design, contract documents, National Master Specification (NMS) and Contract Administration for various project typesCollaborative and team orientedAbility to manage various project typesand you'll stand out with:LET CertificationExperience in IMIT (Information Management and Information Technology)LEED AccreditationDon’t meet every single requirement?
