Together, we can build the future of data storage.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work on a project-based assignment focused on developing Spotfire analysis prototypes using data available in Redshift, with the goal of creating AI-assisted prediction models for selected products and/or factory KPIsSupport the development of the lights-out department's measurement tools by leveraging parameter big data modeling to enable predictive, prescriptive, and diagnostic analytics.Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysisSupport the development and testing of machine learning models under the guidance of senior data scientists.Help create and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Spotfire to effectively communicate results to stakeholders.Document analysis processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure knowledge sharing within the teamResearch and present emerging data science tools, techniques, and best practices that could improve current systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and operations, to translate business needs into analytical solutionsQualificationsREQUIRED:Pursuing a bachelor's in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, Data science, Digital Engineering, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering or a related fieldInternship student in the cooperative education program (CWIE) is required to have an internship period of at least 4-6 monthsSkillsExperience in machine learning & AI projectSkills in SQL, Python, and R for custom analysis and data visualizationSkills in Project ManagementKnowledge in Statistical AnalysisDemonstrate a good level of English proficiencyAdditional InformationWestern Digital thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
