Job descriptionTechnology Development: You will play an important role in developing the next generation of Direct Air Capture technology. You will be responsible for running models, collecting data, and analyzing results – all part of optimizing the Climeworks carbon capture process.CFD Analysis: You will perform CFD analysis in order to predict and optimize the fluid and heat flows at various scales - from small-scale modelling of our filter structures to large-scale atmospheric dispersion modelling.Collaboration with Mechanical Design: You will work closely with colleagues in Mechanical Design. Your role will be to support them in the design of vessels, internals, and other structural elements that are key to the performance of our facilities. Validation & Measurement: You will collaborate with our Testing and Process Development teams in evaluating technology solutions to improve the efficiency and performance of the Climeworks process, with a focus on the behavior of air, steam and heat.Communication & Presentation: You will communicate results, findings, and observations clearly and concisely to peers, and present them in technical reviews.Your StoryJob requirements Experience: You are currently enrolled in or have recently completed a master’s degree in chemical, process or mechanical engineering –preferably with a focus on CFD modelling. Experience with porous media, fluid mechanics and/or thermal modelling will be a plus.Technical Proficiency: Experience with CFD modelling (including ANSYS SpaceClaim, Fluent/CFX, Workbench, and similar tools) will be a strong advantage. Working Style: You are proactive, innovative, and collaborative. You can work across disciplines and support others in their activities. To maintain fairness, we follow a standardized salary process based on market benchmarks. For our internships based in Switzerland, the compensation is:During BSc & MSc: CHF 2,000 per monthAfter completion of MSc: CHF 2,500 per monthNote: We do not accept candidate profiles through recruitment agencies.
