Internship OverviewAs an Instructional Design Intern, you’ll play a key role in supporting Mansfield’s Learning & Development team to create impactful, engaging learning experiences. You’ll collaborate with internal partners to design, evaluate, and refine programs that help employees grow and perform at their best.Through hands-on projects, you’ll gain practical experience in instructional design, learning technologies, and adult learning principles as well as skills that translate to future careers in education, training, and Human Resources. You’ll also learn how to assess learning needs, analyze program data, and contribute to the development of learning solutions that make a real difference across the organization.By the end of the internship, you’ll understand how learning initiatives come to life, from concept to implementation, and leave with both a strong portfolio and a deeper understanding of how strategic learning drives organizational success.Internship DetailsGeneral: Full-time, onsite paid internship ($18/hour)Dates & Time: May 18, 2026, through July 31, 2026, Monday thru Friday 8am – 5pmLocation: Gainesville, GA or Houston, TXDaily & Weekly ActivitiesCollaborate with L&D Team and subject matter experts to develop learning materials such as eLearning modules, facilitator guides, and job aids.Upload, test, and manage content in the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure accurate tracking and a seamless learner experience.Assist with learning needs assessments by gathering data, conducting surveys, and summarizing findings to support program design decisions.Analyze learning metrics and feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute creative ideas for learning campaigns and employee development initiatives.Prepare communication materials and evaluation reports to share learning updates, key insights, and project outcomes with stakeholders.Key ProjectsSales New Hire OnboardingLinkedIn Learning campaign design & implementationHelp plan logistics for live or virtual workshopsUse the A.D.D.I.E. design process to create a development session for the intern classData analysis with presentation of findings and recommendationsKey Learning OutcomesFoundational Instructional Design Skills – Gain practical experience applying adult learning principles and design models (such as ADDIE) to real organizational training needs.Learning Technology Proficiency – Build hands-on skills in using Learning Management Systems (LMS), authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise or Storyline), and digital collaboration platforms.Data-Driven Decision Making – Learn how to collect, interpret, and present learning analytics to evaluate program effectiveness and guide improvements.Stakeholder Collaboration – Develop confidence in working with subject matter experts, HR partners, and business leaders to align learning solutions with organizational goals.Communication and Project Management – Strengthen written, visual, and interpersonal communication skills while managing multiple learning projects in a professional environment.Organizational Learning Insight – Understand how enterprise learning functions—from needs assessment through delivery, contribute to employee growth and business performance.RequirementsCompleted at least two years of coursework and enrolled in Summer or Fall of 2026 as a Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Communication, or a related field.Familiarity with adult learning, eLearning tools, or instructional media design is a plus, but not required.Must be able to work full-time, onsite in either Gainesville, GA or Houston, TX offices Monday through Friday 8am-5pm from 5/18/26 through 7/31/26All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
