About The RoleWe are looking for a motivated Robotics Mechanical Design Intern (m/f/d). In this role, you will support the team with CAD work, prototyping, assembly, and documentation. You help structure workflows, prepare designs for testing, and ensure that mechanical components integrate smoothly into larger robotic systems.This position gives you practical insights into robotics hardware, mechanical development, and cross-disciplinary engineering work. It is well suited for students who want more than routine tasks and who want to contribute directly to building reliable mechanical components for real robotic applications.Your ResponsibilitiesDesign & Concepting: Support mechanical design development, iteration, and early-stage concept exploration for robotic components.CAD & Documentation: Build and update CAD models, technical drawings, and clear assembly documentation.Analysis & Reviews: Apply engineering fundamentals (tolerances, manufacturability, basic calculations) to validate and refine designs.Prototyping: Assist with 3D printing, workshop fabrication, and hands-on prototype preparation.Integration & Testing: Help assemble, integrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical and mechatronic systems.Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with software, electrical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration.Essential SkillsBackground: Ongoing Bachelor/Master in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.CAD: SolidWorks or similar CAD experience.Design Principles: Understanding of kinematics, dynamics, tolerances, and manufacturability.Hands-On: Comfortable with prototyping and mechanical assembly tasks.Mindset: Analytical, proactive, collaborative, and confident communicating in English.Beneficial SkillsFabrication: Experience with 3D printing or workshop tools.Systems: Knowledge of robotics, mechatronics, or automation systems.Standards: Basic understanding of technical standards, safety compliance, or manufacturing processes.Framework:Start: 15 January 2026 (negotiable)Duration: Six months of continuous full-time work.Place of work: Office presence; minimal possibility of working from homeWhat we offerPractical learning opportunities to complement your studies.Dynamic high-tech company combined with financial soundness and world class investors.Join an interdisciplinary, international team with 60+ different nationalities in a collaborative work environment.Corporate Benefits Program that covers health, mobility and learning with 100 € net per month.Apply for this jobAbout UsAgile Robots SE is an international high-tech company based in Munich, Germany with a production site in Kaufbeuren and more than 2300 employees worldwide.
