The Office of the Secretary-General is looking for an Intern at the ICT UnitFull-time (37h30/week)The European Schools are an intergovernmental organization providing a multilingual and multicultural education. There are currently 13 schools in 6 countries with around 29,000 pupils on roll. The Office of the Secretary-General is the central office responsible for managing the European Schools system.Description of the functionThe function of the intern will consist of assisting the members of the PSO (Project Support Office) at the ICT unit in performing their administrative duties such as project management, procurement and general administration.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Providing assistance with the administrative and budgetary tasks of the ICT unitAdministrative support of ICT ProjectsFollowing up on the purchasing process of ICT software and hardware (requesting quotations, preparing purchase orders, following up on billing, etc.)Organising the missions of the Head of the ICT Unit and other members of the unit (hotels, flights, etc.) and expensing the costsFollowing-up of the physical inventory of the OSGES' ICT equipment.Organising/scheduling meetings and conferencesDrafting letters, documents, minutes, etc.Providing support with any other task requested by the Head of the ICT UnitProfile required: 1 Holder of a university degree (minimum 3 years of higher education) preferably in Administration, Finance, Languages or Management2 No previous professional experience is required3 Good command of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams)4 Soft skills:Strong organisational skillsConfidentiality and discretionTime management skillsCommunication skills (both written and oral)ProactivityFlexibilityAttention to detail5 Proficient user of English according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)[1] and independent user of French or German6 Knowledge of any EU official language is an advantageWe offer:An internship for a duration of six months (starting preferably in September 2024)A professional experience within an international teamA monthly gross grant of 1.306,00 €2,5 days of leave per monthPossibility of hybrid work (subject to decision of the direct superior)Reimbursement the travel expenses incurred[2] at the beginning and at the end of the internshipReimbursement of transport costs between home and the workplace[3]Interested?Please follow the instructions below.
