Through initiatives that protect our workers at work, transform careers, manage the cost of living, help with financial resilience and health, and nurture relationships for families, we champion every worker through every touch point as we work towards better wages, welfare, and work prospects.Because Every Worker Matters.The intern will support the communications team in leveraging AI tools to generate, test, and optimise content and media strategies. This includes assisting with media relations, drafting and repurposing content, analysing media coverage, and exploring AI-driven approaches to enhance strategic communications and manage reputational risks.Key Responsibilities Leverage AI tools to generate and teste ideas, including: Formulating narratives and key messages Generating news and story ideas Creating dashboards to collate and summarise key comms themes Automating / templating the drafting and optimising of media releases and statements Experimenting with AI writing tools Testing headlines and formats to improve media pick up rates Analysing media coverage and recommending alternative media approaches Repurposing long-form content like speeches and media releases into bite size content like soundbites and social posts Editing photos and videos for media's use Exploring AI-based scenarios to model potential reputational risks, media crises and draft response templates. Support media relations operations, including: Planning and implementing media approaches like formulate key messages and headlines Preparing press releases and materials Managing media at events Providing analysis for media coverage Researching on media trends and approaches in an AI-driven world to support strategic communications planning and implementation Creating a calendar of media opportunities tied to industry events or seasonal activities/reports. Candidate Profile. Strong interest in media relations, strategic communications, and the use of AI tools for content creation and analysis. Familiarity with AI writing and editing tools, and an eagerness to experiment with innovative workflows. Basic skills in copywriting, content repurposing, and multimedia editing (photos, videos, social posts). Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to track media coverage, identify trends, and recommend improvements. Curious about media strategies, crisis communications, and reputational risk management. Proactive, organized, and able to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an aptitude for translating insights into actionable recommendations.
