Internal Audit Manager

Status: Full-timePosition SummaryThe Internal Audit Manager leads audit activities at the Japan site, focusing on compliance with the U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Responsibilities include evaluating internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), IT controls, and operational processes to support governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, improve the internal audit & control system to align with regulatory requirements under feasible costDevelop and execute annual audit plans, including US-SOX compliance auditsDesign and improve audit methodologies aligned with J-SOX where applicableEvaluate and document internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)Conduct IT audits covering applications, infrastructure, and access controlsPrepare audit reports and follow up on remediation plansCoordinate audit policies and reporting with Audit committeesLiaise with external auditorsManage and mentor audit team membersSupport fraud risk assessments and investigations as neededQualificationsRequired：Minimum 5 years of experience in internal or external auditHands-on experience with US-SOX audits, especially ICFRHigh business-level English & Japanese proficiency. Mandarin speaker is strong plus.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsPreferred：Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or manufacturing industriesCertifications such as CIA, CPA (US), CISAKnowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite)IT audit or data analytics skills (e.g., ACL, Power BI)Audit experience in global organizationsDesired Skills and AttributesAbility to operate with a global mindsetSelf-driven and capable of leading teamsFlexible and proactive in proposing improvementsHigh ethical standards and objectivity
