International Controller - WTS Energy - Global Finance in the Energy Transition

To reinforce this mission, WTS Energy is seeking an International Controller who will provide the financial backbone of its global operations.Core focus position:Manage financial (core) processes & controls: periodic closings, financial reports and annual accountsOversee statutory reporting, tax, treasury and cash flow, partnering with local teams to drive performance, strengthen controls and provide insights.Lead treasury, strengthen accounting standards, and accelerate digitalization through Power BI, ERP, AI and RPA-driven automationStakeholders: Accounting Director, Group CFO, Dutch and local finance teams worldwide, external accountants, and tax authoritiesAs International Controller, you will report to the Accounting Director, collaborate closely with a fellow International Controller, and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting across WTS Energy’s global operations. You will guide local finance teams, challenge existing ways of working, and ensure that international subsidiaries operate in line with group standards and statutory requirements. Your responsibilities will focus on leading monthly closings, preparing reconciliations and journal entries, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting. You will take ownership of statutory reporting, transfer pricing and tax compliance, while also overseeing treasury activities such as FX management, hedging strategies and forward-looking cash flow management and pooling. Working closely with local finance teams, you will analyze performance, act as a business partner to the countries, and deliver clear, actionable management reporting.Beyond the day-to-day, you will drive improvement. From implementing stronger internal controls in close cooperation with your peers to harmonizing accounting policies and procedures, you will help build a more resilient finance organization. You will also work on initiatives ranging from ERP upgrades and Power BI dashboards to RPA projects and process automation.
