International Procurement Specialist (Ship Operations)Location: Istanbul / Halkalı or Gaziantep (optional)Company: Turkey’s largest live meat trading company, headquartered in GaziantepWe are seeking an International Procurement Specialist who can actively work on board ships and travel with the vessel when required. The position can be based either at our Istanbul European Side office or in Gaziantep, according to the candidate’s preference.ResponsibilitiesManage the procurement of all materials, equipment, and services required for the ship,Coordinate with the ship captain and deck crew for planning operational needs,Ensure all procurement activities comply with port regulations and ship operational procedures,Prepare, track, and report on invoices, waybills, customs documents, and logistics paperwork,Take an active role in ship loading and unloading operations,Conduct international supplier research, request quotations, and manage purchase orders,Provide operational support on board while the ship is at sea when needed,Obtain purchase approvals from company owners and implement procurement accordingly,Regularly report procurement activities, costs, and operational updates to company owners.RequirementsNative-level English proficiency,Experience in maritime, logistics, or international trade operations,Minimum 4 years of international procurement experience,Knowledge of port regulations and ship operational processes,Able to travel and work on ships,No travel restrictions; working hours flexible according to travel schedules,Strong analytical, planning, and reporting skills,Team player with excellent communication skills and results-oriented mindset,Willingness to be based in either Istanbul European Side or Gaziantep.
