Help ensure safe, compliant seed management for Animal Health vaccines, your expertise will make a global impact from day one.For our team located in Boxmeer we are looking for an:International Seed Management SpecialistWelcome in our teamThe International Seed Management (ISM) group is part of Bioprocess Technology Solutions. ISM manages the global production, testing, documentation, and storage of master, working, and first-production seeds, as well as production cells, supporting continuous manufacturing and timely registration of Animal Health vaccines and biologics.Bioprocess Technology Solutions partners closely with R&D and Manufacturing to ensure robust product introductions, smooth transfers, and reliable supply. The team brings deep expertise in viral cell culture, bacterial fermentation, downstream processing, purification, freeze-drying, and vaccine formulation.About the roleAs an International Seed Management Specialist, you will lead risk assessments for extraneous agents testing, oversee seed production and quality control activities and partner with R&D and Manufacturing to maintain high-quality, compliant seeds that support continuous supply. You will also help refine procedures, align with regulatory expectations and contribute to global seed management policies and guidance.Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to Act as the seed Subject Matter Expert for the EU/global region (ex-US), guiding compliant production and Quality Control.Partner with global teams on seed production, testing and compliance.Lead Master Seed testing and specifications, advising on materials, volumes, containers, labeling, storage and test plans.Authorize and release Master, Working, and first Production Seed batches; maintain lineage records and coordinate shipments.Prepare QC test summaries for registration dossiers and verify compliance of seed dossier sections.Shape and maintain global seed management policies; track regulatory changes and drive implementation with R&D and Manufacturing.Represent ISM on transfer teams; advise on resources, risks and timelines; support audits and policy adherence checks.Champion continuous improvement across seed management, GLP/GMP, Health & Safety and IT; coach and mentor colleagues.Co-lead and contribute to inclusive, cross-functional projects with global stakeholders.Your profileDegree in biotechnology, biochemistry, biology, virology or a related discipline (BSc or MSc)At least 3–5 years of experience working in a science and technology–focused team within a complex (bio)pharmaceutical environmentFamiliarity with viral seed and cell line testing strategies (experience preferred but not required)Experience collaborating across global teams and culturesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working independently and making sound decisions in a dynamic, evolving environmentUnderstanding of global regulatory and compliance requirements for seedsClear and effective communication skills in EnglishWhat we offer We welcome you to a truly global, dynamic and challenging environment with great opportunities for personal development.
