To protect your workforce, we are at your fingertips: internationalsos. comJob DescriptionThe Iraqi Trained Medical Doctor (ITMD) is responsible to provide on-site medical support and healthcare services primarily to local national employees at the military base. Key Responsibilities: Provide medical evaluation and triage of patients. Examine and diagnose patients for illness and injury.   Treat acute and chronic conditions, evaluate symptoms, offer preventative care. Prescribe and administer medication, treatment, and therapies. Order, perform, interpret test results and analyse records and reports.   Formulate treatment plans.   Provide follow-up care for patients as needed.
  Collect, record, and maintain accurate patient health information and histories.    Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care. Ensures that all medical records are meticulously and accurately maintained.   Management of a formulary at the site. Provide medical evaluations to include annual employee physicals, medical testing and the issuance of required immunizations. Ensure the contractor workforce is compliant with applicable US and host national laws for medical clearances. Stabilize and manage medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) services for patients identified as requiring higher level evaluation or services.
Provide liaison with external agencies where required to promote chain of care continuity and professional referral/patient handover. Support clinical mentoring for staff development. Ensure best practice in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs.   Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events. Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies. Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a physician. Have fluency in both English and Arabic (oral and written). Current experience in direct patient care and must have worked a minimum of 6-months of the last 12-months in career field. Experience Preferred: Experience on a military/government site, working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred. Education Required:   Graduated from an accredited Iraqi Medical School or international equivalent school. Hold current licenses/certifications to practice medicine in Iraq. Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Key Skills:
  Proficient IT skills including use of electronic medical records systems.   Essential Capabilities:   Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Maintain a calm, confident demeanor when in stressful situations. Results oriented and able to meet project deliverables. Cultural sensitivity and awareness. Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet demanding deadlines.   Effective oral, written communication and interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending/stooping, kneeling, twisting. Visual acuity. Minimal hearing loss. Push/pull/carry minimum 50 lbs. Other Special Qualifications: Obtain medical clearance and maintain current immunizations. Must be able to relocate to Balad, Iraq.
A valid passport in country of record is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Balad.
