Internship type: Data collection, stakeholder engagement and marine spatial planning (MSP) Project / Working Area: Interreg Project - SEABAS Period: Spring 2026 (January – June) Workload: part-timeLocation: hybrid (Sweden) or remote (Baltic Sea Region preferred) Context: SEABAS (Strategic ecosystem-based planning for sustainable future of the Baltic Sea) is an Interreg funded project that focusses on collecting diverse Baltic Sea project outcomes in one platform to assist EU Member States with implementation of strategic environmental assessments (SEA) and cumulative impact assessments (CIA), for maritime spatial planning (MSP). As a project partner, CCB will be involved in various SEABAS related tasks, such as the collection of best practices for SEAs regarding stakeholder consultation. Research Question: What are the best practices in stakeholder consultation for Strategic Environmental Assessments and Maritime Spatial Planning in Baltic Sea Region countries?Objectives & Deliverables: Collect, summarise, and analyse the outcomes of various projects that show the current best practices for SEA in stakeholder consultation.Background of Intern:The intern should have a background in environmental studies, sustainability, or geography with marine knowledge. Knowledge in marine policies, MSP processes, environmental impact assessments (SEA, CIA), and stakeholder engagement, will be an asset.This information may be available in English or other Baltic Sea languages and will require strong investigative skills. Knowing more than one Baltic Sea Region language is a benefit.
