Join the IHS team as a Marketing & Communications internWe’re looking for creative and proactive students doing a Marketing, Communication, International Business, or similar Bachelor's degree with a passion for cities and sustainability.Make sure to apply before 10 December and you can become part of a dynamic team at Erasmus University.Job DescriptionInternship Tasks & ResponsibilitiesConsistently create and publish various types of content for our online channels (e.g. interviews, blog articles, infographics, photo series)Support digital marketing by creating marketing material and campaigns (e.g., ad copy or email content)Support tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing campaignsSupport the organization of events (offline and online)Support managing communication with external stakeholders such as prospective students, alumni, partners, etc. Support managing our CRM (data entry and email marketing)Support student communication and contribute to the improvement of education managementAssist with general and ad-hoc department activitiesJob RequirementsThe candidate should be a student at a Dutch or foreign university (with a residence permit for the Netherlands in case they’re not an EU citizen) in a graduate/undergraduate (Master/Bachelor) study program that requires a work placement/ internship at an international organization like IHS. Creative and pro-active attitude in teamwork, but also able to work independentlyAble to work on several things at the same time and with deadlinesInternational (work) experience in a multicultural environment is an assetExcellent command of written and spoken EnglishVery strong organisational skillsExcellent computer skills, especially the usage of Microsoft Office applicationsSpecific SkillsStudents must have successfully completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate degree in one of the following disciplines: International Business, Communication, Marketing or similar. Any related work experience in those fields is an asset. Candidates must have a strong affinity for marketing and communication. Interest in urban sustainability as well as visual communication and design is an asset. Knowledge, experience, and interest in one of the following topics is an asset: communication and marketing concepts, basic marketing theory, digital and online tools, research and analysis. Strong writing skillsKnowledge of Adobe Suite and basic video editing skills are appreciated and will be considered when choosing candidates. This document needs to be signed by IHS, a representative of the intern’s university and the intern. Candidates that cannot provide university approval for the respective agreement cannot be accepted. The candidate must have a Dutch residence permit valid for the total period of the internship or be an EU citizen. Candidates without a permit cannot be accepted. The intern position is available in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, for up to six months (preferred duration) and needs a presence of 40 hrs per week, working regular office hours. The starting date for this internship is to be discussed and depends on the available starting date of the candidate and the availability of the internship at that particular time.
