The mission of this team is to bring a practical quantum advantage to industry. It is a young team of engineers and scientists with over 10 people focused on developing state-of-the-art photonic quantum algorithms on Perceval and Merlin (Quandela's software development kit).We offer several internships around the following topics: Analysing the energy cost of large-scale quantum algorithmsTraining quantum machine learning (QML) models efficiently and in a scalable wayStudying the properties of QML models through the lens of either classical machine learning or quantum foundationsClassical algorithm to spoof a claim of quantum advantage in Quantum Monte-Carlo methodsApplications of classical shadow techniquesYour Key ResponsibilitiesLiterature review, understanding scientific articlesAlgorithms design and new ideasImplementation of algorithms in Perceval and MerLin, our software platformsCommunication of results through a presentation and reportRequirementsYou are currently enrolled in a university program in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related fields, and will be for the duration of the internship (preferably master's level)You have experience with, or a strong interest in, quantum computing and quantum algorithmsYou have good coding skills in PythonYou are curious, keen to learn, and love solving problemsExcellent communication skills and team-playerBenefitsSwile Card (meal vouchers) 🍴🛒50% participation in transportation costs 🚆 Possibility of remote work 💻 Internship Allowance between €1,200 and €1,400 per month 💰 1,5 days off per month, cumulative 🧳What we also offerA challenging and innovative work environment at the heart of quantum computing. A diverse and collaborative company culture. Opportunities for professional growth and skill development. At Quandela, we believe that the strength of our team is the plurality of experiences, perspectives, and journeys.
