Its market-leading restructuring department is the largest independent team in the UK. Interpath was previously part of KPMG, before being sold to private equity firm HIG Capital on 4 May 2021. As a Graduate Associate in the Restructuring Advisory - Contentious team, you will work in a dynamic environment where you will be involved in managing complex cases that challenge conventional financial solutions.

The role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals addressing restructuring scenarios often filled with disputes and contentious elements. The TeamThe contentious restructuring team operates at the intersection of legal and financial advisory, helping clients navigate and manage challenging circumstances regarding insolvency and restructuring matters. Our diverse team members collaborate closely with legal professionals and stakeholders to deliver optimal outcomes for clients. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will assist team members in delivering projects to clients facing difficult trading conditions and the potential of financial loss due to contentious matters. Responsibilities will include:

Restructuring AdvisoryDraft reports and documentation for presentation to company management and relevant stakeholdersAssist in preparing marketing material and due diligence packs for complex business sales and restructuring processesConduct comprehensive research and analysis to support contentious restructuring scenariosPerform essential administrative tasks, including engagement letter preparation, budget management, and fee note generationContentious MattersEngage with key stakeholders, including creditors, directors, and legal representatives, to gather insights and support the resolution of disputesPrepare correspondence and documentation for various parties involved in contentious restructuring processesAssist in investigating the conduct of directors and preparing necessary reportsEnsure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice protocolsYou will also support the team in developing and growing the practice by engaging in business development initiatives, assisting in client relationship management, and expanding your professional network.
