Job Description

The Company: The company focus on identifying key issues/problems that affect both current and potential customers and on designing solutions/programs to overcome these. They provide the complete animal husbandry solution to its customers which incorporates veterinary medicines, hygiene solutions and nutritional supplements to ensure that the animals health is always maximised while also giving the farmer a good return on investment. Key Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for Commercial, Financial and Operational performance of the business, including delivery of profit targets, margin management, focused cost control, management of operational & customer metrics.

Strong focus on management of energy, raw material and labour costs. Development of an overall strategy for the business and to lead the implementation of agreed strategic initiatives for the business. This should include medium- and long-term view for the business including sustainability, innovation and required capital plans elements and market growth opportunities for the business. Continue to deepen relationships with customers re service, product development, quality and business issues. Develop the Commercial arm to drive innovation and added value for the business. Leading and developing the sales and marketing capacity and capability to optimise sales growth and margin.

Manage the overall operational performance ensuring continued focus on increasing quality and excellence in customer service. Manage a cross functional management team to deliver objectives covering Operations, Procurement, Finance, Commercial, People, Quality and Customer Service. Leading and embedding a Continuous Improvement culture through meaningful engagement and participation of employees to deliver outstanding business performance by way of service quality and control of unit costs. Coach and provide leadership to drive a high-performance culture through a proactive approach to people development with effective communication at all levels. Leading and managing effective and sustainable organisational change.

Managing all capital expenditure for the business. Key Skills & Competencies: Customer Focused with strong commercial acumen and a minimum of 10 years relevant Leadership experience in a similar manufacturing business. Excellent negotiation skills in a commercial context. Experience of building relationships and influencing outcomes with stakeholders. Experience and Knowledge of International business to business sector and in a highly regulated environment like Agribusiness. Results driven with a leadership style that is inspiring and performance driven. Strong interpersonal, leadership, presentation and communication skills. Proven people relationship building skills, excellent planning and organisational skills.

Capable of thinking strategically whilst maintaining a pragmatic operational perspective. Excellent working knowledge of relevant regulatory standards governing industry. Passion to apply key principles of Continuous Improvement ethos. Experience in tight control of operating costs. Excellent decision making and influencing skills. Innovative and forward thinking.
