Our core principles - capital preservation, consistent growth, and intellectual independence - guide every investment decision.Nevastar Finance’s Investment Team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced investment professional. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in investment management, with a strong track record of providing investment advice to high-net-worth clients. This role is central to our investment process, acting as a bridge between the investment desk and the relationship management teams but also contributing to idea generation across asset classes including, but not limited to, equity, fixed income, derivatives and commodities.What you will do:• Source and analyse investment opportunities across all asset classes, with a primary focus on equities but also fixed income, structured products, FX and derivatives.• Collaborate closely with the investment desk to validate and refine investment ideas.• Prepare clear, insightful investment rationales for approved ideas to be communicated to private bankers and client-facing teams.• Maintain a deep understanding of global macroeconomic trends, financial markets, and client needs to tailor investment recommendations.• Support the private bankers in client meetings, where required, to present and explain investment ideas.• Ensure alignment of investment proposals with the firm's strategic views and compliance standards.• Regularly update the investment desk on market developments and portfolio positioning opportunities.• Contribute to the creation of investment content including notes, presentations, and market commentaries.• Participate in Investment Committees, contributing macroeconomic views and trade ideas for discretionary clients and managed funds.Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:• 3+ years of experience in investment advisory in a private bank or asset manager.• Strong knowledge of financial markets, with a particular emphasis on equities.• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.• Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.• Fluency in English is required.• CFA Level 1 and above is a plus.Other information:• Fully in-office: Based in St James’s, London (on-site role, no hybrid arrangement).• Benefits: 23 days’ annual leave, company pension scheme, and discretionary year-end bonus. This is a permanent position, subject to a 3-month probationary period.
