Investment Analyst/Associate (DACH) | Private InvestorSalary | CompetitiveLocation | MunichFinatal is partnered with a leading European private investor focused on Private Equity and Private Credit investments in small- and mid-cap companies. The firm is seeking an Associate to support the analysis and execution of investments across the DACH region.This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial team during an exciting growth phase, gaining exposure to diverse transactions, sectors, and asset classes while working closely with senior management, investors, and portfolio companies.The RoleSupport the origination, analysis, and execution of Private Equity investments in small- and mid-cap companies across the DACH region.Conduct financial, commercial, and strategic analyses to evaluate investment opportunities.Build valuation models and assess returns, capital structures, and debt capacity.Coordinate due diligence processes and manage external advisors.Prepare investment memoranda for the Investment Committee.Assist in negotiating and drafting transaction documentation.Contribute to portfolio monitoring, reporting, and value creation.Develop and maintain relationships with intermediaries and market participants.The Requirements 3 years’ experience (including internships) in Private Equity, M&A, or related investment roles, with hands-on deal execution and a strong interest in investing.Strong analytical, financial modelling, and communication skills.Understanding of legal documentation in Private Equity transactions.Organised, detail-oriented, and effective at managing multiple workstreams.Native German speaker and fluent English (both written and spoken).Strong academic background in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
