Job Description

We are seeking an experienced investment professional looking to further their career within a Global Real Estate Investment and Management Firm. Based in the heart of Amsterdam and working as part of an international team headquartered in London, you will play a key role in driving investment performance across the Netherlands and have the option to expand your scope to other countries in Europe.You will be responsible for sourcing and executing new investment opportunities, while also overseeing existing assets and managing divestments. We are looking for someone with strong financial and commercial judgement, proven experience in underwriting transactions, the confidence to take ownership of due diligence processes, investment recommendations and sales processes. Above all, you will think like an investor and act like an owner, approaching the investment portfolio and opportunities with accountability, discipline and a clear focus on long-term value creation.The role offers scope to broaden exposure across both acquisitions and portfolio oversight beyond the Netherlands.Key Responsibilities:Originate, screen and assess new investment opportunities, including leading underwriting and preliminary due diligence.Support and coordinate financing processes for new acquisitions and refinancing of existing assets under management.Provide active portfolio oversight across assets under management, including performance monitoring, business plan tracking and value creation initiatives.Lead and manage asset disposals, including preparation, advisor coordination and execution of exit strategies aligned with fund objectives.Day to Day activities:AcquisitionsConduct thorough financial analysis and underwriting of real estate investment opportunities, including the development of comprehensive multi-tier pro-forma waterfall models to evaluate returns and risks.Perform in-depth market research on prospective acquisitions, benchmarking against competing properties and assessing local market dynamics to inform investment decisions.Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, brokers, equity partners, lenders, legal advisors, consultants, and all relevant internal teams to facilitate transaction execution.Lead and coordinate the end-to-end acquisition due diligence process and manage transaction closings (both on the buy and sell side) in collaboration with external counterparties, ensuring all requirements are met efficiently and accurately.Proactively cultivate a network of industry contacts to enhance deal sourcing and identify new investment opportunities across the European Real Estate sector.Portfolio OversightConduct regular reviews of portfolio assets, tracking financial results and operational performance to ensure investments are delivering expected returns and adhering to strategic objectives.Develop and implement improvement initiatives for underperforming assets, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise value and enhance the overall portfolio.Be the key point of contact and internal client for RHC’s local Head of Property Management.Work closely with the Fund Management team in London and Amsterdam to ensure all assets meet agreed performance targets, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance standards, supporting robust governance across the portfolio.Prepare and deliver detailed portfolio performance reports for senior management, clearly articulating risks, opportunities, and progress against strategic goals to inform decision-making.Proactively identify key risks and emerging opportunities within the portfolio, recommending actions to mitigate downside and capitalise on growth potential, thereby supporting the wider business objectives.Person SpecificationProven experience in analytical roles within investment banking, private equity, or similar finance positions across Europe.Advanced quantitative skills with expertise in financial modelling, valuations, and financial analysis, preferably acquired in corporate finance or accounting environments.Strong ability to research, analyse, and present complex financial and market data clearly.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to articulate strategic and investment theses to senior stakeholders.Exceptional interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners.Effective organisational and project management abilities to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating resourcefulness in solving complex problems and managing workload independently.Curious and commercially minded, eager to understand broader business objectives and contribute to team goals.Collaborative team player with a flexible approach, able to work as part of a small local team and committed to supporting a larger team in London.Above all, you think like an investor and act like an owner and are motivated to drive positive results.Please note: Applicants must have the right to work in the Netherlands
