Role Overview The Investment Banking Analyst is a key member of the deal team, providing analytical and execution support in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and other strategic financial transactions. This role requires a strong foundation in financial modeling, valuation, and market analysis to help clients achieve their corporate and investment objectives. Working closely with associates and senior bankers, the Investment Banking Analyst plays a vital role in preparing presentation materials, conducting due diligence, and ensuring smooth transaction execution. This position is ideal for highly motivated individuals with strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills who thrive in a fast-paced and intellectually challenging environment.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain complex financial models to support valuation and transaction analysis.Perform company, industry, and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.Conduct detailed valuation analyses, including comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow (DCF) modeling.Assist in the preparation of client pitch books, management presentations, and offering memorandums.Support transaction execution, including due diligence, documentation, and process coordination.Analyze financial statements and operational metrics to assess company performance and potential deal synergies.Collaborate with legal, accounting, and advisory teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of transaction materials.Track and analyze developments in capital markets to provide up-to-date insights for clients.Maintain and update internal databases with market and transaction data.Participate in client meetings, offering analytical support and strategic insights.Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.1–3 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or financial advisory (internships included).Strong proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and data analysis.Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and Refinitiv.Excellent understanding of accounting, corporate finance principles, and capital markets.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative abilities with strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines under pressure.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.High level of professionalism, integrity, and teamwork.Proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.Summary The Investment Banking Analyst plays a fundamental role in supporting high-value financial transactions and strategic advisory services.
