Title: Investment Banking AssociateLocation: Los Angeles, CAStart: Immediate to Q1’26Firm / Position Description: Our client is a boutique investment bank offering buy- and sell-side M&A, growth capital raising and strategic advisory. Small, but mighty, they represent some of the world’s most sought after brands in the consumer industry spanning beauty, luxury fashion to disruptive digitally native companies and lifestyle brands. They have terrific clients and are regularly retained by some of the most prominent private equity firms nationally and internationally. In addition, they have a great culture, and compensation plan. Due to growth and deal flow, they are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented investment professional to join the team in Los Angeles. Candidates must have a minimum of 1- 4 years experience in investment banking and some M&A deal experience. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing transaction processes, conducting financial analysis, developing client materials, and supporting senior bankers across all stages of sell-side engagements. This position requires strong technical skills, exceptional communication abilities, intellectual curiosity, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Having expertise or a strong interest in consumer products / brands is helpful! Key Responsibilities:Deal Execution & Transaction Management • Lead day-to-day execution of sell-side M&A transactions, including coordinating due diligence, maintaining data rooms, and managing workstreams across internal teams and external advisors. • Prepare and review key transaction materials such as Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, buyer lists, and process timelines. • Act as a key contact for clients, buyers, attorneys, and other stakeholders throughout the deal process. Financial Modeling & Valuation • Build, maintain, and audit detailed financial models, including merger models, LBO analyses, DCFs, and comparable company / precedent transaction valuation frameworks. • Conduct in-depth financial, industry, and strategic analyses to support valuation discussions and buyer positioning. • Review and synthesize company financials, forecasts, and performance metrics. Client Interaction & Presentation Development • Work with the team to create high-quality pitch materials, strategic reviews, and marketing documents for clients and potential clients. • Help articulate key value drivers, positioning strategies, and transaction rationales for potential buyers. • Participate in client meetings and contribute insights to support senior management. Market & Industry Research • Conduct sector, market, and competitive research to support deal sourcing, business development, and transaction execution. • Track industry trends, transaction activity, and market valuations to support strategic advice for clients. Team Leadership & Collaboration • Guide and mentor analysts on financial modeling, research tasks, and presentation development.If interested please reply with your resume.
