Impact Fund Denmark has a strong focus on creating sustainable and responsible businesses as well as financial returns.The jobAs Investment Director you will be expected to take a pro-active and independent role sourcing investment, leading deal teams through the entire deal cycle and representing Impact Fund Denmark on boards of portfolio companies. The investment teams in Impact Fund Denmark are responsible for the entire investment process from sourcing through investing to managing the investments and exit.This includes:Investment processBuild and leverage networks in our target markets, source high-quality impactful investment opportunities.Lead all aspects of the deal execution, including due diligence, financial modelling, development of value creation and impact creation plans, structuring and negotiation.Ensure all investments align with our green, just and inclusive impact priorities, as well as the SDGs.Utilise multiple financial instruments, including equity, debt and mezzanine, to tailor solutions to each project’s needs.Collectively engage as a team as active owners, driving value and impact creation during the holding period of portfolio investments.Develop and implement strong value creation and impact creation plans, with Investment Directors providing strategic oversight and team members contributing to execution.Collaborate with stakeholders and board members to track, evaluate and refine project outcomes, ensuring alignment with our mission.Stakeholder engagementBuild and maintain relationships with public and private sector partners, leveraging networks to mobilise additional capital.Represent Impact Fund Denmark at external events, forums and industry networks, strengthening its position as a leading impact investor.Compliance and risk managementEnsure all investments meet Impact Fund Denmark’s high ESG standards and adhere to legal, environmental and social compliance frameworks.Assess and mitigate risks throughout the investment lifecycle, with senior team members providing guidance on complex risk assessments.The teamImpact Fund Denmark private investments team is divided in 4 verticals: Healthcare, Green Energy and Infrastructure, Sustainable Food Systems and Financial Services. The Healthcare team invests in companies within healthcare services, pharmaceutical, medical device and health-tech supporting improved accessibility, quality and affordability of healthcare in our target markets.At Impact Fund Denmark, the progression levels are Investment analyst, Investment Manager, Senior Investment Manager, Investment Director and Managing Director. You will be reporting to one of two Managing Directors and Co-heads of Healthcare.In Impact Fund Denmark we attach great importance to good teamwork and collaboration, maintaining a positive atmosphere and having fun together. We help each other out, share our knowledge, and – while each of us hold high standards and integrity to our work – we don’t take ourselves too seriously and share a good laugh.Your qualifications & experienceThe ideal candidate is accustomed to performing in a demanding environment, is exceptionally driven, independent and, very importantly, a team player with a humble and collaborative attitude.ExperienceMin 10 years of outstanding performance in a combination of top investment bank, strategy consulting firm and direct investments, including origination, due diligence, transaction and portfolio management and exits.Solid track record independently sourcing and executing deals.Experience from investing in Impact Fund Denmark’s markets and healthcare sector are seen as a plus.
