Investment manager – working with reporting and blended concessional finance We are hiring an investment manager to join Impact Fund Denmark’s Nairobi office and work at the intersection of development project management, development finance, and private sector investments. The position plays a vital role in supporting and documenting the outcomes and impacts of our investments in Somalia. Impact Fund Denmark (IFDK) is Denmark’s Development Finance Institution. We think innovatively about how to leverage public capital, mobilise private investors, and structure solutions that drive sustainable development impact.The jobAs a member of the Impact Partnerships team, you will be working with blended concessional finance in the context of Somalia. This position will serve as a bridge across investment execution, development aid management, and programme-level coordination.In close coordination with the Investment Director in Nairobi and with the Blended Concessional Finance team in Copenhagen, key tasks include:collection, review, analysis and compilation of financial reports.quality assurance in reporting and identifying measures to strengthen reporting.timely responses to information requests and ad hoc clarifications.supporting programme implementation across the Embassy of Denmark to Somalia, the Delegation of the European Union to Somalia, Shuraako Capital, Impact Fund Denmark, and other partners.Support donor visibility efforts and provide inputs to strategic communications and partner engagement activities.You will be part of an engaged organisation of more than 180 professionals across sectors, regions, and functions. You will be working alongside colleagues who prioritise knowledgesharing and joint problemsolving.The position reports to Managing Director, Head of Impact Partnerships and is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Note that the position is temporary (approx 3 year duration) and may require periodic travel to Somalia, depending on programme needs. Your qualifications & experienceBased on the Investment Manager profile, you ideally bring:Master’s degree in development studies, economics, business, international relations, public policy, or a related social science discipline.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in investment and / or international development, including programme management.Understanding of key development cooperation themes such as private sector development, economic development, blended finance, and development finance architecture.Ability to collaborate and manage stakeholders.Experience from financial and outcome reporting, including to translation of technical and operational material into compelling, policy-relevant reports.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations)Excellent writing skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.If you meet most—but not all—of the criteria, we still encourage you to apply.Working and learning at Impact Fund DenmarkAs an investment professional in Impact Fund Denmark, you will become familiar with how we work and create impact through investments in developing countries.
