Cornell are supporting a global venture capital fund with the hire of an Investment Manager to join their growing London team.The fund has recently launched a new vehicle with significant committed capital and invests internationally from seed through to series C, with a focus on consumer and technology.The OpportunityTake a lead role in deal origination, building a strong network across founders, investors, and industry stakeholders.Conduct commercial, financial, and technical due diligence, bringing sharp insight into emerging technologies.Drive transaction execution, including financial modelling, structuring, and negotiation.Work closely with portfolio companies to support growth and connect them with the fund’s global ecosystem.Contribute to shaping the fund’s broader investment thesis in technology.Key ResponsibilitiesSource, assess, and execute investments in early and growth-stage startupsConduct market mapping, commercial and financial due diligence, and present opportunities to the Investment CommitteeDevelop and maintain a strong network in the startup ecosystem, with founders, VCs, and acceleratorsMonitor portfolio performance, support board work, and help scale impactful ventures globallyQualifications5–8 years’ experience in VC/CVC, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or strategy consulting.Proven track record as a technology investor.Strong transactional background, including financial modelling, structuring, and execution.Preferred experience in technology including areas such as Enterprise SaaS, supply chain & logistics, blockchain, automation, and robotics.Experience working directly with founders and management teams.Entrepreneurial mindset with high EQ/IQ and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
