We are a pre-revenue startup entering an execution-heavy phase, and we’re looking for a hands-on CTO to lead our tech vision, own delivery, and build a product millions will love.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for an Investor & Co-Founder (CTO) based in Riyadh. As the CTO, you will be responsible for defining the company's technical vision and leading its technological development. Your daily tasks will include overseeing the technical aspects of the company, ensuring the technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs, and making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements. You will manage technology resources, build and lead the technology team, and collaborate with other departments to fulfill the company’s technology strategy.What you will doOwn the tech strategy & roadmap: architecture, priorities, delivery, and measurable outcomes.Ship product fast: lead full-stack web + Flutter mobile development; review PRs; unblock teams.Scale & secure the platform: reliability (SLOs/SLAs), observability, incident response, backups/DR.Build & lead the team: hire, mentor, and manage engineers (front-end, back-end, mobile, QA, DevOps).Data & AI enablement: analytics, dashboards, experimentation; leverage AI/auto-translation where it helps users.Integrations: payments, ID/verification, shipping, and marketplace partners; design robust APIs.Cost & performance: optimize cloud spend, caching, and database performance at 100k+ MAU and beyond.Compliance & security: secure SDLC, access controls, audits, and privacy by design.Execution with stakeholders: translate business needs into clear specs, timelines, and releases.Qualifications6–10+ years in software engineering with 2–4+ years in a senior/lead/CTO role at a startup or marketplace.Hands-on full-stack: you can architect and code—comfortable reviewing/merging critical PRs.Flutter expertise for production mobile apps (iOS/Android), plus web experience.Strong back-end fundamentals (API design, databases, queues, background jobs, integrations).Proven experience with cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD, containers, monitoring, and IaC.Security mindset (OWASP, secrets management, RBAC, audit logs).Product sense: you prioritize impact, ship iteratively, and measure outcomes.Excellent communication; comfortable working hybrid in Riyadh.Nice to have: marketplaces/auctions, fintech/payments, Arabic/English bilingual, data/ML exposure, previous experience in Start-up environment.
