Experience and contribute to our unique culture while you develop and expand your career!TEMP MEDICAL TRAINING SPECIALIST, MEDICAL AFFAIRS OPERATIONSSummaryThe Medical Affairs Training Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of Medical Affairs training initiatives across Cardiometabolic, Specialty Rare, and Neurology therapeutic areas. This role requires strong project management capabilities to ensure seamless delivery of training programs, effective cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to timelines and industry standards.

This position sits within the Medical Affairs Operations group, which supports core operational areas including Medical Training, Medical Information, Medical Review, Medical Grants, Expanded Access, and Budget Management. While the primary focus will be on supporting training initiatives, the individual may also be asked to assist with other operations-related projects as needed, based on business priorities and team bandwidth. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders.

While a solid understanding of scientific content is necessary, this role is designed for someone who excels in driving operational excellence through structured project oversight and process improvement. ResponsibilitiesLead project management activities related to the development and deployment of Medical Affairs training initiatives, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment are met. Serve as the central coordinator for training activities, collaborating with multiple internal parties (i. e. , Medical Strategy, Field Medical, Scientific Communications, Medical Information) and external agencies and Key Opinion Leaders.

Maintain and update project plans, timelines, and status trackers for training-related initiatives, proactively flag risks, and drive issue resolution. Support the operational execution of training activities, including vendor management, budget tracking, scheduling, documentation, and meeting facilitation. Oversee content management and coordination with LMS administrators to ensure training modules are uploaded, assigned, and maintained appropriately. Contribute to the development and maintenance of training materials by ensuring clarity, consistency, and formatting, while ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. Partner with internal stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate learnings into future training processes and content improvements.

Track, analyze, and report on training engagement and effectiveness metrics to inform strategy and drive continuous improvement. Maintain a high-level understanding of scientific content to ensure effective project execution in collaboration with scientific subject matter experts. As a member of the Medical Affairs Operations team, support additional operational initiatives as needed, including projects related to Medical Information, Grants, Material Review, Expanded Access, or Budget Management. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in science (Pharm. D, Ph. D. , NP, PA, etc. ) education, or a related field preferred.

6–10 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including at least 3 years in project management, training operations, or program coordination roles. Experience working in LMS systems and learning technologies. Experience supporting Medical Affairs or other scientific teams in a matrixed environmentCore SkillsDemonstrated project management expertise, including use of tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or equivalent platforms. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach. Working knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and compliance standards for medical education.
