IoT DevOps - Senior Software Engineer

About The RoleStrikeWeb is the strategic operations platform behind a fleet of autonomous robotic agents. As a Senior IoT DevOps Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the infrastructure, tooling, and systems that make scalable, reliable, and secure deployment of robotics possible. This is a critical leadership role bridging DevOps best practices with the high-stakes operational requirements of real-world autonomy.In this role you will get toLead the design and implementation of resilient DevOps architectures for remote fleet management, including over-the-air software and firmware updates. Architect and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines to support rapid iteration while meeting safety and compliance requirements across heterogeneous device types. Build sophisticated telemetry, logging, and alerting systems to detect and resolve issues across the StrikeWeb application and its deployed agents. Champion automation in deployment, monitoring, incident response, and rollback strategies across production and field environments. Collaborate across robotics, infrastructure, and cloud teams to deliver high-assurance operations for mission-critical deployments. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to shaping technical direction, engineering standards, and cross-functional DevOps culture. Drive root cause analysis and long-term improvements from field incidents, reliability reviews, and postmortems. Must have experience5+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure role with demonstrable impact in high-availability or mission-critical systems, ideally involving IoT or edge deployments. Expertise with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes, Nomad) at scale. Deep experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD) and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). Proficient in at least one systems-oriented programming language such as Go, Python, or Rust. Strong command of cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including identity, networking, and observability. Fluency with metrics, tracing, and log-based observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, ELK, Grafana). Comfort with edge-native communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, gRPC, ZeroMQ) and hybrid cloud-edge topologies. Experience with secure bootstrapping, provisioning, and fleet authentication mechanisms. Nice to have experienceTrack record managing large-scale over-the-air update systems for IoT or embedded environments. Familiarity with robotics systems, hardware-software integration, or real-time telemetry loops. Involvement in cross-team initiatives, such as DevSecOps, incident response drills, or operational runbooks. Contributions to open-source infrastructure or IoT tooling projects.
