If you are ready to take on new challenges and eager to make a difference, we encourage you to apply.About The RoleAs an Associate, your primary responsibility will be to assist the Partner | Country Manager Switzerland with legal research, document preparation, client communication, and other assigned tasks to support the efficient operation of the Brands & Legal operations of the Zurich office and the delivery of high-quality legal services to clients. Typically, you have up to 3 years of experience.This position reports directly to the Country Manager for Abion Switzerland and offers an 80–100% workload in a hybrid setup, with 3 days a week at our Zurich office in the vibrant Seefeld district, just a short stroll from the lake and easily accessible by public transport.Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Research & Analysis: Conduct trademark clearance searches and legal research; analyze cases, facts, and precedents; identify legal risks and propose solutions to senior attorneys.Trademark & Design Prosecution: Prepare, file, and prosecute trademark and design applications from start to finish.Drafting Legal Documents: Draft warning letters, opposition and cancellation submissions, and other legal documents for senior attorney review.Client Communication: Manage client matters and correspondence independently under the supervision of the Country Manager Switzerland.Case & Database Management: Maintain accurate legal databases, organize case files, track deadlines, and support administrative coordination for ongoing matters.Administrative & Team Support: Assist with scheduling, meetings, and other administrative tasks; learn core paralegal duties to provide coverage and guidance as experience grows.Billing & Time Recording: Track billable hours accurately (minimum 20 hours/week) and assist with client invoicing when needed.Confidentiality & Development: Handle all information with discretion and stay current on legal developments through ongoing education, case review, and industry reading.What We're Looking ForStrong legal research, analytical skills and drafting skills in German and English. Additional languages are a plus.Law degree (lic. Iur. / MLaw)Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.Commercial mindset and motivation to grow. Ability to work independently and as a part of the team Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
