About The RoleAs an IP Paralegal in the Brands & Legal Team in Switzerland, you will handle a variety of trademark- and design-related matters in a dynamic, international setting.Your primary responsibilities will include managing trademark prosecution matters, from clearance and application drafting to handling objections and renewals. Furthermore, you will be involved in administrative proceedings such as oppositions. You will also maintain accurate IP data, including deadlines using dedicated IP management software and will ensure accurate invoicing.This position offers an 80–100% workload in a hybrid setup, with 3 days a week at our office in Zurich’s vibrant Seefeld district, just a pleasant stroll from the lake and easily reachable by public transport.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct trademark availability searches, analyze results, and provide recommendations to attorneys.File trademark and industrial design applications, managing the entire prosecution process—from filing to grant—before the IGE and WIPO.Handle objections and refusals from IP offices.Support opposition proceedings and assist in negotiating co-existence agreements and undertakings.Communicate with foreign agents regarding filings and prosecution in other jurisdictions.Maintain and update internal databases, inboxes, and docket deadlines.Conduct research projects, including trademark portfolio analyses and case law reviews.Prepare cost estimates and ensure accurate billing in line with client guidelines.Assist with administrative tasks, including correspondence and calendar management.Contribute to the optimization of workflows, systems, and processes.What we're looking forWe are seeking a digital-savvy, detail-oriented legal professional that is eager to contribute to the team's growth. To be best suited for this role you have a few years or experience working as a paralegal ideally within the area of IP and Trademarks.You must be fully fluent in English and German.
