We are seeking to fill the Systems Support Technician position for one of our clients in Missouri. Job Description: Systems Support Technician will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support to the 509th Medical Group (MDG) at Whiteman AFB, MO. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing IT equipment, software, cabling, network infrastructure, and user accounts. Additionally, the technician will be involved in planning and executing Information Technology activities and projects, collaborating with Government and MDG contract personnel to introduce, remove, or modify IT systems within the 509 MDG. Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair IT equipment, software, and user accounts with a focus on ensuring patient care is not disrupted. Respond promptly to IT issues based on their urgency level, ensuring timely resolution and updates to customers. Utilize Remedy to track work orders and customer feedback. Plan and execute IT projects, collaborating with Government and MDG contract personnel as necessary. Perform hardware and software inventory management duties, documenting all tasks in designated help desk databases. Complete administrative duties as needed, including managing user and operational forms, and maintaining inventory records.
Serve as an IT staff representative to non-flight entities when required, coordinating with outside IT teams, help desks, contractors, or other Government agencies. Ensure compliance with communications information assurance and network policies as outlined in technical orders and regulations. Qualifications: Technical school certificate or equivalent military training related to IT, along with at least 2 years of IT support experience. Experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting various IT systems and devices, including printers, scanners, networked devices, and Microsoft operating systems and applications. Certifications in CompTIA Security+ as per DoD Instruction 8570. 01-M Information Assurance Training and Certification.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
