All applicant must go to www.royalbeachclubatparadiseisland.com/career to apply in order to be considered.Position Summary:The Island Operations Supervisor is responsible for delivering industry-leading hospitality standards to maintain upkeep, safety, and cleanliness on the Destination. The Supervisor ensures the Destination is Guest-ready including but not limited to all public spaces, beachfront, and sand areas are clean, raked, cleared from garbage and rocks, and the restrooms and trash bins are clean and sanitized. The Supervisor supports the Operations Manager, Assistant Manager, and supervises the Operations Team to ensure the Destination performance objectives, KPIs, Guest and Team Member satisfaction, and other key results areas consistently meet and exceed the Companyâs targets. This position leads by example and requires exemplary organization, attention to detail, excellent Guest and Team Member engagement, training, knowledge of the product and service standard.All duties and responsibilities are performed following Companyâs Brand Standards, the Royal Way philosophy, policies, and SOPs, public health, safety, security, and environmental guidelines.This Job Description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties performed by the Team Member occupying this position. The nature of this job requires daily interactions with internal and external stakeholders.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensures daily cleaning of all public spaces, beachfront, and restrooms are completed before Guests come ashore. Checks the pathways are free of sand and landscaping is free of debris. Inspects trash bins to ensure trash is collected on time.Practices the âManaging by Walking Aroundâ principle and actively assesses Destination cleanliness. Works side by side with Island Attendants and Restroom Attendants and reports any challenges to the Manager.Monitors that the furniture set up is laid out with the correct configuration.Maintains patterns of furniture and umbrellas. Ensures all beach furniture is clean, sanitized, and Guest ready.Inspects beach umbrellas to ensure the safety of Guests, Visitors, and Team Members.Notifies Operations Manager concerning the need for repairs, adjustments or improvements, or corrections.Follows daily cleaning checklist of all beach areas, beach furniture, showers, and restrooms following the Operations Managerâs plan. Follows a deep cleaning schedule for the showers, restrooms, and beach furniture.Ensures restrooms are sanitized according to schedule and checklists are complete and maintained.Rakes the beaches, clears the shoreline from seaweed, dead coral/rocks, and collects the garbage. Monitors the raking and cleaning of the areas around the assigned station. Picks up and bags garbage and debris.Practices and trains the Team on the Companyâs garbage separation, PPE, and Chemical Management procedures.Assists Restroom Attendants and Island Attendants with breaks during the day when required.Conducts hourly inspections throughout the day around public spaces, restrooms, and beachfront ensuring areas are clean and tidy. Ensures all restrooms have enough stock of items for the day, delivers extra when required.Maintains the records of opening and closing procedures for each area of responsibility as required.Supports Operations Specialist when assigned by the Manager. Conducts on-the-job trainings when required.Participates in trainings and meetings. Adheres to a Company confidentiality agreement.Follows the Destinations grooming standards and ensures the Team follows the standards.Acknowledges and greets Guests, Visitors, and Team Members in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting.Financial ResponsibilitiesTakes care of and ensures all operational equipment is in good condition. Ensures used equipment and tools are cleaned and properly stored in the storage at the end of the day or after completing a task.Takes inventory of supplies, equipment, and chemicals. Orders the supplies periodically from the Manager.Qualifications:School Diploma or equivalent vocational training. A Driving License is required.Minimum two (2) years of work experience in an operating division in a resort, hotel, ship, theme park, or waterpark.Knowledge of Chemical Management and previous exposure to the international environment is strongly preferred.Effective verbal and written communications skills. Computer literacy is preferred.Ability to manage the international Team by motivating, developing, and training Team Members as they work.Language Requirements:Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with Guests, Team Members, Contractors, and Vendors.Ability to read and write English, to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from Guests, Managers, and Team Members.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste and smell. The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.All Destination Team Members must be physically able to participate in emergency life-saving procedures and drills. Full use/range of motion of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal, and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency.Work Environment:Destination outdoor environment where high temperature, precipitation, and humid temperatures are experienced.While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is required to work outdoors in extremely humid and hot conditions for an extended period of time.This is a position where duties are exercised outdoors, walking in sand, and uneven surfaces.
