About The RoleBeing a Police Officer with the Isle of Man Constabulary is both challenging and rewarding. From tackling crime and supporting the community to offering reassurance when it’s needed most, this role is both exciting and demanding. You’ll work in a dynamic, 24/7 environment where no two shifts are ever the same. Being a Police Officer requires adaptability, resilience, commitment and unwavering professionalism both on and off duty. You May Find YourselfResponding to emergency calls and incidents. Investigating crimes and gathering evidence. Supporting victims and witnesses. Engaging with young people to build trust in the Police.
Collaborating with other emergency services. Addressing anti-social behaviour. Being a visible presence at events such as, TT, MGP & more. From day one, you’ll receive comprehensive training designed to prepare you for every situation. Over the initial 16 weeks and beyond, our dedicated trainers will support you both as a group and individually. The program accommodates different learning styles, blending practical applications with theory to ensure you’re fully equipped for the role.
A workplace that invests in youSalary the starting salary is £33,690 with progression to a top pay of £48,231 after three years of service, pay increases occur incrementally each year. Overtime A 10% increase addition to pay for unsociable hours worked these are between 8pm and 6am. Pension New joiners since April 2018, are enrolled in the amended 2010 pension scheme.
