Pay Rate: $85.00/hour, depending on experienceContract Length: 1 Year Location: Calgary, AlbertaRaise is currently hiring an IT - Cyber Security Analyst on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure.Note: The primary pay rate is based on the rate for an incorporated contractor who owns their own business. However, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in a T4 arrangement, where applicable.DescriptionThe Cyber Business Analyst is in this role will act as the liaison between business stakeholders and cybersecurity technical teams. This position is central to the planning and execution of cybersecurity initiatives, focusing heavily on project delivery, requirements management, and testing coordination to ensure projects are delivered effectively, securely, and in alignment with core business objectives.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for cybersecurity projects.Support the full project lifecycle from initiation through deliveryComfortable with being impacted by change (priorities changed, order of execution changes , scope change)Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.Coordinate and document User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and other test phases.Develop test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with technical teams.Track and report on testing progress, defects, and remediation efforts.Maintain comprehensive project documentation including business requirements, process flows, test results, and change logsAbility to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Qualifications3-5 years of professional experience in a Business Analyst or similar role, with at least 2 years focused on IT or cybersecurity project delivery.Familiarity with oil and gas industry operations, including IT/OT integration, regulatory requirements,Experienced with Business Process Mapping, Stakeholder Analysis, Risk Assessment, Traceability Matrix Management.Proven experience supporting large-scale, complex technology projects and managing requirements for security-focused initiatives.Demonstrated experience in planning and executing UAT and SIT, including developing robust test documentation.Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance standards.Education and Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or cybersecurity credentials are a plus.Exceptional written and verbal communication, problem-solving, analytical thinking, strong attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure and manage ambiguity.Looking for meaningful work?
