This role is responsible for helping safeguard the organisation’s data, systems, and infrastructure by evaluating and assessing technology environments to ensure they are secure, efficiently managed, and compliant with applicable policies, regulations, and frameworks.The successful candidate will contribute to strengthening governance, risk management, and internal control processes through a structured and data-driven audit approach, ensuring that systems support accurate decision-making and operational excellence.Think you’ve got what it takes? Send us your CV and let’s see if you’re the perfect fit, at Kgolagano@slaixrecruitment.co.zaDuties:Perform independent IT risk assessments to highlight areas requiring assurance and mitigation.Reviewing system implementations or enhancements before and after deployment.Assessing IT management policies and procedures, such as change management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and information security, to ensure adequate controls are in place.Evaluating application and IT general controls and testing compliance with established standards.Conducting systems development audits to ensure alignment with development standards.Auditing systems and applications to confirm they are controlled, reliable, efficient, secure, and effective.IT security audits, identifying vulnerabilities and verifying mitigation measures.Providing project assurance to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and risk mitigation.Reviewing cloud governance and maturity to ensure compliance with policies and best practices.Offer guidance and practical recommendations on IT risk management, with a focus on applications, infrastructure, and security.Prepare clear, balanced internal audit reports, supported by evidence, to inform management decisions on key IT risks.Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:Matric (Grade 12)Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related fieldExperience:Minimum of 4 years of IT auditing experience, preferably within the eCommerce sectorProven experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectivesStrong track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within scopeHands-on experience with audit software, ISO standards, and basic finance/accounting principlesExtensive knowledge of IT auditing standards, requirements, and methodologiesSolid understanding of IT risk and control frameworksExperience across multiple IT domains, including software development, operating systems, database management, and information/network security, with the ability to identify vulnerabilitiesHands-on experience in cybersecurity practices and assessments.Skills & Competencies:Flexibility and adaptability to changing environmentsStrong sense of responsibility and accountabilityProactive and self-motivated, taking initiative when neededPersistence and resilience in overcoming challengesCollaborative and team-focused mindsetCommitment to ethical conduct and integrityCreativity and innovation in problem-solvingIf you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
