Ready to kickstart your data career with the world’s largest logistics player?If you’ve just graduated or are about to, the Data Traineeship at DHL Supply Chain offers you the chance to develop into a true data expert within logistics.What does the IT Traineeship program involve?Over two years, you’ll work in four different roles within our AI, Data Analytics & Data (AIDA) team. You’ll start with the foundation: the Data Warehouse. Here, you’ll learn about our source data from systems such as the Warehouse Management System and the Transport Management System. You’ll dive into logistics processes and build ETL pipelines to make data accessible and usable. The next placements are arranged in consultation, but here’s an example trajectory:Second placement: Focus on analytics. For example, conducting a process mining project to identify bottlenecks or developing a data-driven solution that adds direct value to our operations.Third placement: Advanced data analytics and machine learning. You’ll work on models for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, or product flow classification, applying algorithms and statistical techniques in a complex logistics environment.Fourth placement: AI and digital transformation. You’ll contribute to innovative projects such as generative AI, helping us take our supply chain to the next level.You’ll hold a full-fledged position with the opportunity to gain broad exposure to the organization in a short time. You’ll be challenged both professionally and personally. Interested in an international placement? That’s possible too. After these four rotations, you’ll move into your permanent role.Alongside your assignments, you’ll join a development program with your fellow trainees. This includes monthly meet-up days, a personal mentor, and coaching from our Learning & Development team.What else?We’ll take a group trip to Bonn to visit the DHL Supply Chain Innovation Center, where you’ll experience firsthand the amazing innovations we’re working on.Your developmentThrough assignments, the personal development program, and your mentor, we’ll give you the tools to make an impact at DHL Supply Chain and grow quickly. You’ll be continuously challenged, gaining knowledge, experience, and valuable insights in a short time. And you won’t do it alone—you’ll share the journey with your fellow trainees.
