JHB - Northern Suburbs, Gauteng IT End-user Support Technician An exciting opportunity exists for an End-User Support Technician to join our Johannesburg office. The successful candidate will form part of our Information Technology team and will report directly to the IT Manager.DescriptionThe candidate will form an integral part of the SRK Consulting (South Africa) Information Technology team, based in our Johannesburg office. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, this role is responsible for providing onsite desktop and telephonic user support, as well as assisting with basic network administration tasks. This is a full-time, office-based position. Applicants are required to meet the minimum certifications and competencies outlined below.ExperienceAt least 5 years IT Support Experience using M365 products and SharePoint.Customer Focused. Excellent Windows 11 support skills.Knowledge of TCP/IP and Network support.Must have a good understanding of basic security support.A working knowledge of LinuxCertificationsA+N+Additional Microsoft certifications will be an advantageHardwareDuties and Responsibilities include:Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and support existing computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other equipmentReplace faulty hardwareConfiguration of new hardwareGeneral Hardware SupportSoftwareInstall Operating systems as per SRK standardsInstall M365 SoftwareAssist in the Installation of technical software as required by various departmentsConfiguring, support and updating of installed softwareDiagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systemsSupport Linux operating systems use for modelling.General Software supportNetworkingConnecting PCs into ADPrinter installation on PC’sMaking up of network cablesSupporting LAN and Wi-Fi network issues when they ariseGeneralClose out call logs timeously and efficientlyTelephonic support to usersDocument procedures, configurations, settings, installation sequences and back-out instructionsFlexibility – Be willing to take on a new position at the company or accept additional responsibilities when askedEnsure desktop computers connect seamlessly with associated systems, file servers, email services, computer conferencing systems, application servers and administrative systemsTravel to regional offices to carry out maintenance when requiredAssist with 3D printing requirementsBackup & restoresLoading of tapes in Illovo backup units when required by the Networks teamSalaryMarket related with Company Benefits.RewardsWe believe that people are our major asset.
