IT Lab Support Engineer | Copenhagen, Denmark (6-Month Contract)Join a global technology leader as an IT Lab Support Engineer based in Copenhagen. This contract role offers the opportunity to work in a high-impact, executive-facing environment, supporting cutting-edge engineering workflows and maintaining compliance within specialized lab environments.You’ll play a key role in ensuring friction-free executive experiences, smooth engineering operations, and secure, compliant lab management — all while supporting a creative, innovative, and collaborative team.🎯 Role OverviewAs the IT Lab Support Engineer, you will:Provide VIP IT support to senior executives and their staff.Support specialized engineering workflows that rely on advanced render-farm and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.Oversee lab systems and visitor workflows, ensuring security, compliance, and operational efficiency.This position is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys hands-on technical challenges, and values precision and reliability in every task.Key ResponsibilitiesSystems & Server SupportSet up, configure, and maintain servers used by specialized engineering teams (e.g., QuAD team).Perform routine system health checks, data backups, and performance tuning.Retrieve archived data and footage from cold storage as required.Implement automated cleanup and asset archiving workflows.Ensure secure, reliable access to creative and engineering tools (e.g., Windchill)..Hardware SupportAct as the primary technical lead for all Surface Hub hardware and presentation requirements.Test new firmware, collaboration features, and integrations proactively.Manage setup, configuration, and troubleshooting for Surface Hubs and connected peripherals.Maintain hardware inventory and coordinate with procurement for new equipmentUser Account & Device ManagementManage user accounts and shared devices across internal programs.Conduct regular security and access audits to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.Handle user provisioning, permissions, and device lifecycle management.Support device imaging, updates, and endpoint protection via Intune, MDE, and EPM.Serve as the IT onboarding contact for new users and assist with workflow-specific software issues (e.g., Adobe SSO, rendering tools, large file transfers).✅ Key RequirementsProven experience delivering VIP/Executive IT Support in a fast-paced environment.Hands-on experience with render-farm workflows and PLM systems (e.g., Windchill) leveraging GPU workloads.Expertise in device provisioning, certificate-based authentication, and modern management tools (Intune, MDE, EPM).Prior experience operating within controlled lab environments and adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) compliance standards.
