Purpose of the Job:The job holder is responsible to plan, organize, monitor and control all the activities of the IT Function, including actively contributing to formulating and developing IT strategies and plans consistent with Nama Financing overall business strategies and objectivesPrincipal Responsibilities / AccountabilitiesInitiates the formulation of an IT Strategy for the organization, by appreciating the scale and IT requirements of businesses and considering the contemporary trends in IT across diversified within the organization, globally and in the Region.Monitors / supervises critical / major IT- projects and develops proposals to Top Management relating to systems integration, hardware / software replacements, IT major developmental projects and work simplification so as to improve work efficiency and productivity.Plays a lead role in the selection and establishment of contracts with vendors / implementers for acquisition, installation, and maintenance of all information technology hardware, software, and services.Ensures the establishment of adequate processes for evaluation of IT Hardware / Software vendors.Oversees all information technology activities including requests for services, acquisitions, system designs, configurations, maintenance, strategic planning, and other related services.Directs, establishes, plans and implements the IT Operational policies, procedures and projects to support the organization and help desk operations.Drives the establishment of standards and requirements for the IT Function.Directs staff to apply ‘good practices’ standards and specifications to meet all recurring pre-definable IT operations solutions.Reviews daily logs and reports to detect recurring slowdowns or errors in information systems’ operations and initiate retrieval measures as required.Prepares and administers the information technology organization’s budget and related replacement and capital improvement programs.Maintains updated knowledge of industry standards, patterns, trends, principles, practices, and techniques in all aspects of information technology.Keeps the Management informed about any major developments in the infrastructure and changes that are required to stay up to date with the market.Prepares a variety of reports on equipment utilization, level of efficiency, standards of service, and recommended actions to improve service delivery and cost effectiveness.Qualifications / Experience8+ years of progressive IT-related experience including3 - 5 years Managerial levelFluency in English and Arabic languages.
