IT Operations Manager

As IT Operations Manager at AKVA group, you will work with advanced technology and play a key role in shaping, optimizing, and evolving IT operations across our headquarters and international locations. We are looking for a hands-on and technically strong IT Manager who is motivated by driving efficiency and delivering first-class IT services in our steadily growing business. You will have a key role within our IT & Enterprise solutions team, and be based at our modern head office at Kverneland Industripark – a five-minute walk from the train station, with good parking and bicycling facilities.Job Purpose And ResponsibilitiesThe IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. You will lead a team of IT professionals and collaborates with cross-functional departments to deliver high-quality IT services aligned with business goals. This includes:Manage and monitor IT operations including servers, storage, networks, cloud services, workplace and end-user support.Ensure high availability and performance of critical systems and applications.Lead incident, problem, and change management processes in line with ITIL v4 best practices.Supervise and mentor IT staff, system administrators, and network engineers.Develop training plans and performance goals for team members.Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce security policies and respond to threats.Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.Drive initiatives to modernize infrastructure and enhance user experience.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of ITIL v4, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and enterprise IT systems.Experience with monitoring tools, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), and cybersecurity frameworks.Proven skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Norwegian and English language skillsInterested?
