IT Operations Team Leader – Infrastructure & Service Delivery

Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished and technically proficient “IT Operations Team Leader” to oversee the internal infrastructure operations of our Information Technology department while managing external technical resources engaged in client service projects. This role will bring a balance of hands-on technical expertise and leadership, ensuring operational excellence within our data center and IT environment, while supporting the efficient delivery of managed IT services across multiple engagements.Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise internal IT operations, ensuring system reliability, performance, and compliance with company standards.Manage the data center facility, ensuring optimal uptime, redundancy, and capacity management.Provide hands-on administration of Microsoft technologies, including:Windows Server and desktop environmentsOffice 365 / Microsoft 365 Active Directory DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management Partnership managementOversee the deployment, operation, and maintenance of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms such as CrowdStrike, Bitdefender, and Symantec.Administer and support virtualized and cloud environments, with expertise in Hyper-V and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solutions such as Nutanix, VMware ESXi is a plus.Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Cohesity, Synology, and Barracuda technologies.Maintain and support CCTV and NVR systems as part of the corporate infrastructure portfolio.Coordinate and manage external IT professionals and service delivery teams assigned to client environments or resident IT engagements, ensuring adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs) and company standards.Collaborate with internal departments and project managers to align IT operations with business and service delivery objectives.Enforce IT policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency, security, and compliance.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Office 365, Azure, Active Directory).Proven experience with EDR solutions and endpoint protection technologies.In-depth knowledge of virtualization and cloud environments, especially Hyper-V and Nutanix HCI.Hands-on experience in backup and recovery technologies.Working knowledge of CCTV/NVR infrastructure and related systems.Understanding servers’ hardware and dealing with different technologies.Basic networking knowledge.Basic Linux knowledge is a plus.Demonstrated ability to manage external vendors and technical resources within a managed service framework.Ability to write professional documentation and presentations.Excellent leadership, communication, Time management, and analytical skills.Strong project management capabilities.Preferred Certifications, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate / Solutions Expert (MCSA/MCSE), Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), CrowdStrike Certified Falcon Administrator (CCFA) or equivalent, ITIL Foundation Certification
